Amid the deaths, injuries, and destruction in Israel, incredible nissim occur daily as Iran continues to fire barrages of ballistic missiles with powerful explosive warheads at the Jewish people.
Yet another incredible neis occurred on Sunday morning in Haifa to a Belzer family, who live in an old building that lacks not only safe rooms (mamadim) in the individual apartments but also has no communal bomb shelter.
While sirens blared in other parts of Israel at about 7:45 a.m., no sirens sounded in Haifa. [Ten minutes earlier, residents received a general warning on their phones that Iranian missiles were headed to Israel, and they should be prepared to rush to protected spaces if sirens were sounded in their vicinity.] But then residents of Haifa heard the sounds of large explosions, and it became apparent that there were direct hits in the city. According to an initial IDF probe, an Israeli interceptor missile malfunctioned and fell in the city.
Upon receiving a warning on their phone, the members of the family ran to the living room/dining room and huddled under the table. Minutes later, their home sustained a direct hit, and half the apartment collapsed! But B’Chasdei Hashem, the members of the family, including small children, were rescued without a scratch, albeit with only the clothes on their back.
Bochurim from a nearby Chabad yeshiva joined the rescue efforts, and amid the destruction, burst into songs of hoda’ah for the incredible neis they witnessed.
Eight people were lightly injured in Haifa, and several people were treated for shock.

Hashem Gadol….I see so many merits that ISRAEL is owning, so many, it must be from the Yeshiva Students and a their excess efforts to reach the ears of Hashem…..thank you so much all of you yeshiva and learned ones….without you…this too would not be….keep it up
During the days of King Achav, the Medrash says that not even one Yid got hurt during the wars because Klal Yisroel they were all getting along with each other-Mizrahi-Sefardi-
Nusach Sfard-Nusach Ashkenaz-Litvish-Chassidim from many beautiful Rebbes and etc.
We are allowed to disagree with the Mehalech of a different group, with the Psakim of a different Rav- 1 Rav Paskens this way and 1 Rav can Pasken a different way, after all this a Yid is a Yid-You have your Rosh HaYeshiva and I have my Rosh HaYeshiva-We can all be friends and help each other and at the same time, you have your Rav and I have my Rav.
Achdus will save us and protect us and it does not cost any money, even if your c/c is maxed out and you do not have Amazon prime, you can still join the membership of Achdus for free.
Friendly tip:
If you hear Lashon HaRah:
You are allowed to accept it in your mind as a maybe to protect yourself from harm-
maybe maybe maybe it’s true-so keep a distance, however, do not accept it that it is the truth that piece of Lashon Harah. Maybe maybe so watch out. But I don’t know for sure if that Lashon HaRah is the real truth or maybe parts of the story got changed a little through different people.
Only a Navi can declare a neis. Today, neviot was given to shotim.
@dryidd
so in your opinion the gmarra, rishonim, shulchan aruch and mishna brura were all talking about in the time of the neviim (see siman 218)
DrYidd – Source please. We thank Hashem three times a day על ניסיך שבכל יום עמנו. We make a ברכה of שעשה ניסים on the נס of Chanukah that was already almost 200 years after the last Nevuah. The נס of Purim (and most of Chanukah) didn’t involve open שינוי הטבע. The Gemara describes ניסים that happened centuries later and calls them ניסים. So what is your problem? It is a very basic part of our Emuna and Mesorah to call these things what they are – Nissim from Hashem who watches over us always.
Iran is targeting zionists, not the Jewish People.
@somejewiknow. Really? If you believe that you’re in for a treat. They hate all Jews, zionist or not.
somejewiknow – I am not a Zionist. They shot missiles near me every day for a week and a half. They would gladly target you ר״ל הל״ת. If that is all you can think of when Yidden are (still) in danger, then you need some additional ישוב הדעת, to put it very mildly…
If Iran hates all Jews how is there a Jewish community in Iran? Just trying to understand.
Dear Yaakov Yosef,
I read your comment.
I am happy that you are still alive.
Recently I heard a video on Vayimaen, the Rav was saying that a number of years ago the arabs were throwing rocks at the people who came close to the Kosel. There was one Yid that people knew and the arabs never threw rocks at him.
They investigated and the Oilam then were convinced that he was saved because of
שמירת עיניים
He was untouchable.
Avraham – I remember during the Gulf War of ’91 when 39 Scud missiles hit Israel (I was still living in the US back then), with only one killed, and some people were laughing at the supposedly rusty old Soviet era missiles that didn’t do anything. (They did destroy many buildings, without killing people.) Then one Scud fell on an American Army base in Saudi Arabia, and killed over 90 soldiers… Hashem showed us what He was saving us from. (Back then the entire concept of anti-missile interceptors was in its infancy, and hardly did anything.) Most of the ballistic missiles that hit Israel over the past week contain between 2-4 times the explosive payload of a Scud, there were over 50 strikes, and despite all the tragedy, there are definitely real ניסים going on. I also clearly remember the seriousness of the atmosphere that everyone felt then, despite being in America far from the actual danger. In Yeshiva, we were saying Tehillim very intensely after every davening, and many were מקבל various things as a זכות for our brethren in Eretz Yisroel. (I did not know it at the time, but the girl who would eventually become my wife lived then in a city hit more than once by missiles. So you never know, the מצב of כלל ישראל can be closer to you than you think.) I have to say, that it disturbs me to see people making comments blaming ‘Zionists’ or who knows what, or otherwise badmouthing. Now is not the time to say anything disparaging about any Jew יהיה מי שיהיה, we need to be מעורר רחמים and not the opposite ח״ו, like the Chofetz Chaim says in שמירת הלשון. Certainly, it would be appropriate to be extra careful now with our speech (and keyboard).

Achdus is only with G-d-fearing Jews who are bichlal amisecha, not heretics. By “mizrachi”, one assumes you mean sefardim, as opposed to ashkenazim.
Yes, there should be achdus among all Jews who are biChlal amisecha.
Not sure how YWN paskened that it was a neis that they got saved by hiding under their kitchen table. That seems to be hashgacha pratis, not a neis.
“Bochurim from a nearby Chabad yeshiva joined the rescue efforts, and amid the destruction, burst into songs of hoda’ah for the incredible neis they witnessed.” – Which Chabad song did these Chabad bochurim sing?
“That seems to be hashgacha pratis, not a neis…”
From the perspective of those under the table, its a distinction w/o a difference. I’m sure they are benching gomel in either case
